Staying even after reaching goal weight

Ok, so this past Tuesday I technically gained 0.2 lbs. Nothing to freat about, nothing to brag about. Just for the most part staying even- which is good, considering I still am under my goal weight, and I did have the most horribly epic day at Dorney Park (but horribly bad for you food), so I'll take a 0.2 lbs- the crab fries were worth it for that 0.2 lb gain.
As far as this week, trying to get back on the horse of weight loss, since I don't want to gain back lbs the week before my friend's wedding. I want to be as thin as I can for that event! (Can't believe its a week away! eeek!)
So the hubs and I have continued to keep getting our traditional Chipotle lunch on Saturday (last week and this week) and I still enjoy it every time.

 (standing in line at Chipotle)

On Sunday, friend brought some Oktoberfest Yuengling beer to gaming night- I only drank 1/2 a bottle, since I had to go to work later that night.

Hubs successfully made the most awesome tasting Pumpkin bread muffins. Only 4 points plus each.

Had a lunch date with the hubs to Jules Pizza on Wednesday- thin crust semi-healthier pizza. :D

As far as other things go, been trying some different frozen dinners, as the hubs picked me up odd ones I normally wouldn't pick up, like Tuna Noodle Linguini- had that tonight- ok...though I think my tummy would not agree that it was ok, as its doing backflips right now. ;(

I also got the Beck Higgins Project Life Cherry collection (sheet protectors and starter cherry collection of cards) from my mom, as a present for reaching my goal weight. Thanks mom! I can't wait to get started on Project Life-ing up!

Other than that, been a pretty boring week food wise, since I've been working every single day this week.
Hopefully this week of weight loss goes well!

Banana muffins and margaritas

So I lost another pound this week. To be honest, this reallllllyyyyy surprised me! I had the hardest time tracking things and was pretty lax over the weekend, so getting on the scale this morning and seeing I had lost a pound was such a relief.
My hubs was in super-bake mode: banana muffins (similar to his banana bread) and more homemade pizza. Check out these beauties:

Now these are 4 weight watchers points plus each, but so yummy they are worth it.

I also was in a creating mood on Saturday and made 4 cake stands, 1 small cupcake/cake stand to go with my cheese dome, started repainting an old rack thing, and added a stand to my headband holder. Here's the mini cake/cupcake stand with my cheese dome on top. I think it turned out adorable!

Other than that, I tried out this chicken enchilada Smart One. Looks horrid, but pretty darn good, spicy, but good.

I also picked up a bunch of things from the Amish market by my work- had Botti Boi (chicken pot pie noodles) for dinner at work, then had corn on the cob with chicken croquettes and pasta salad, ALL from the Amish market. Was great to have something different for a change. We still have some of the corn left, but I'm sure we'll have that soon enough.

The biggest thing that surprised me, was that I had some margaritas on Sunday night with the hubs and a friend after seeing the Avengers. I was sure that those drinks were going to screw me all up in the loss department.

Another interesting thing was that yesterday I went to a tailor to get a quote for how much it was going to cost to fix my bridesmaid dress for my friend's wedding. So far, he's going to have to take it in 2 inches from each side (or if you fold it in the back, bunch it in a little more than 2 inches) besides shortening it. As much as it sucks I'm going to have to pay to get the dress altered (it was purchased in December, and the wedding isn't until September), it also feels good to be smaller.

Anyways, crossing fingers for good losses each week. Now I'm down 45.8 lbs! Woo! Goal weight, here I come!
Happy losses!

Another day, another loss

So I'm down another 1.6 lbs this week! yay! I sticked to my points pretty much every day except Sunday, so I'm glad I lost the same amount as last week. Here is my numbers:

If I keep up this loss each week, I'll get to my goal in no time, with plenty of time in my goal weight before my friend's wedding in Sept. I'm looking forward to Thursday- Phillies opening day, and hot dog/hamburger day here at my work. Luckily our wellness group at work brings in wheat buns and turkey hot dogs and burgers. :D

Among the happenings of the week, we got an ice cream cake for my hubs, to celebrate his birthday belated.

Also, basically everyone I know: at work, friends, family, etc. all entered the Mega Millions lottery. Sadly, this 100 grand fun size candy was the closest I got to winning money. lol. The fun size chocolate is 2.5 points plus!

I tried a few more different dinners, first this asian steamer from healthy choice. Not bad, actually really sweet- almost too sweet for my taste, but good. I did take out the mushrooms (not a fan of those), but other than that, not bad.

I also tried this mexican smart ones. Really good. Didn't look that good when I mixed it up, but the taste was pleasant.

Lastly, on Sunday I enjoyed some wine with friends. I then made the mistake of going to the bar with the hubs and our one friend, because supposably there was karaoke at the bar. By the time we got there, the karaoke was done, but I ended up getting some bahama bay breezes. Can I just say that wine, followed up with these drinks- they may seem fine at the time, but the next day- makes you feel like horrid!

Anyways, hopefully I can keep this up. So far so good!

WooWoo

Down another 3.4 lbs today! making my total loss at 16 lbs since I started Weight Watchers. Hooray! (now to eat dinner...a buffalo grilled chicken wrap on wheat tortilla). Could be better could be worse. So far I'm proud I've lost that much since i started 9 weeks ago.
Last week was rough, being sick and all, (only lost 0.2 lbs that week), but this week more than made up for it!
Hoping to keep it up over the Christmas/New Year's holiday coming up.

New Smart ones I've tried:

Pot Roast with vegs- not bad, the vegs sometimes are not tender-except the potatoes, but not bad tasting.
Breakfast Burritos (sausage, egg, cheese)- I liked these a lot! Two mini burritos for 6 points plus!
Pot Roast with mashed potatoes- too small and not filling enough. Also the pot roast got over cooked when trying to cook the mashed potatoes right.

Other things/mental notes-
Chipotle Mexican grill has Brown Rice now! I emailed them, because I couldn't find their nutrition info, and they got back to me right away! here is the nutrition info for the Chipotle brown rice.

the nutrition information for a 3-ounce serving of brown rice is as follows:

120 cal
25 cal from fat
3 g total fat
0.5 g sat fat
0 g trans fat
0 mg cholesterol
110 mg sodium
23 g total carb
1.5 g dietary fiber
0 g sugars
2.5 g protein
0% vit A
0% vit C
2% calcium
2% iron

Thanks Alicia from Chipotle.

Also, frozen mangoes, just one vegs, and green beans have saved me in my veg/fruit forms. WeightWiki, Fooducate and iTrackBites apps are all godsends! WeightWiki helps me find points for restuarants, fooducate helps me find points for things with barcodes and iTrackBites helps me track and has a calculator on it to help me track everything. Wonderful! (so much easier than paying for something that does the same thing).

happy weight loss day!

trucking along

Ok. So on tuesday (my 2nd weigh in at weight watchers after our initial start) I lost another 2 pounds. So far I'm down 4.6 lbs in 2 weeks. I'm hoping this week I keep up the weight loss (as of right now, Saturday evening/Sunday early morning) I have only used 2 of my weekly points thus far. So hopefully it all goes well *crossing fingers*
Anyways, today I'm going to breakdown what Smart Ones meals are good, and what, not so good. I hope to do some mini reviews on things that help my weight loss journey, so others can learn from my help (I know I love when people tell me if something tastes horrible, but then again it is all relative- to some people certain foods taste great and others they stink).

So, here it goes- Smart ones.

We'll start with Breakfast-
I don't often eat pre-packaged breakfasts, but I thought I'd try their egg, cheese and muffin sandwiches. Not horrible, but not wonderful either. My complaint- the cheese melts pretty much completely (desinigrates basically) when the rest is done.

That's the only breakfast item I've tried, so we'll move on to the entries.

Pasta with Ricotta and Spinach- probably one of my more favorites. I recommend this one. It probably tastes the best out of the majority of Smart Ones.

Mini Rigatoni in Vodka Cream Sauce- This is ok. not the greatest, but I'd eat it again. Now I LOVE vodka rigatoni, so maybe my standards were very high.

Three Cheese Ziti Marinara- It's ok...one of the lower on the totem pole as far as their food. You'd be much better getting the bigger one with the meatballs.

Chicken Fettucini- decent, one of the better ones. I tend to add some extra pepper to it for it to work for me.

Fiesta Quesadilla- not very good quite frankly. Very dry and most of it just kind of tastes over cooked, no matter how long you nuke it for.

Macaroni & cheese- A good homestyle favorite. Not like how grandma used to make it (or homestyle tasting for that matter) but ok. Once again, I tend to add some pepper to add a hint more flavor, because it is a little bland alone.

Ravioli Florentine- not very good. Yuck: very small and boring tasting. Wouldn't do it again.

Swedish meatballs- not great, but ok. A little bland and the meatballs never seem to get done completely when the rest is done, and I'm not a fan of mushrooms, and there is few in this.

Thai Style Chicken & rice noodles- This used to be my favorites, however somewhere along the line I must of had it too much, because I didn't like it as much anymore. It does smell wonderful in the microwave however.

Traditional Lasagna with meat sauce- bleh. Too small, and boring tasting really.

Cheese pizza minis- Ok, I would take these ANY day over bagel bites. These at least taste good. The cheese I think make it taste great, personally. However, forwarning, it is VERY hard to just eat 1 serving (1 tray, and there is 2 trays in a box). I tend to eat both trays- its a full meal, so I just deal with having the 14 points for it, because I cannot have just one tray.

Ziti with meatballs & cheese satisfying selections- this was more filling than the others. I just had this tonight, so its fresh on my mind. Everything was decently heated and good sized. It's a little bit more points, but much more filling. I liked it, I'd get it again. It tastes a lot better than the boxed version of ziti.

Ok, so that's all I've tried of the Smart Ones. I have a turkey one in the freezer, so maybe I'll go back and add that one if the future.

So, that's my opinions. Now I'm off to go get some frozen mangoes- that's my favorite fruit and way to eat fruit these days.
