Weight loss is slow- so I hope that means I'm gaining muscle

Well I hopped on the scale this morning, as I do every Wednesday morning, and my weight loss was only 0.6 lbs. Boo. I know, I should be happy to have lost something at all, but I was hoping for a little bigger loss. My hope is that because I've been starting to run more, that I'm gaining muscle- and that's why the weight hasn't gone down as fast as before.
I was super good on the diet train every single day this past week except Saturday (I'm allowing myself 1 bad day).
Also, this week I have officially stopped hurting muscle-wise the next day (or hours later) after my run- I find that to be a success in itself.
My new running shoes are starting to get their work cut out for them.

I also, this past run (Monday), was able to only walk 3 times total during the run (once for my 5 minute warm-up in the beginning, once at the halfway point, and once for my 5 minute cool down). I was most proud of THAT achievement. Now granted, my pace is super slow, but its more running and less walking.

from Monday's run.

My newest turn around point- the faithful bench.

the home stretch of my run- going under Route 1 with my home only a few blocks away.

Here's some other highlights of my diet and exercise for the week:

Last Thursday's run stats and an awkward moment on the run...

Saturday's run was beautiful with all the flowers...

... and the bridge looking cool

Saturday's stats- however, I would like to note- the mileage I think got a little off- since the gps went all wonky- I actually ran further on Monday than this Saturday's run, but for some reason the stats came up as Saturday was further. I blame faulty GPS- getting my hopes up that I went super far. lol.

pretty flowers on the run

I want this home owner's garden (I pass their beautiful flowers every run)

Saturday's lunch- I split this with the hubs.

Saturday's lunch- I also split this with the hubs.

Sunday's dinner at TGI Friday's (we used a gift card)- sadly this was one of the best Weight Watchers pointed meals, other than just a salad and/or soup. I know- it's kind of pitiful looking. Poor tiny steak.

*fingers crossed* I start to notice the losses and gaining of muscle more and/or next week is a bigger loss. We shall see.

Gaining it back again

Ok. Now that I am over the Flu, I seem to have gained back all of what I lost while sick! Figures.
This week was Fat Tuesday, followed by Valentine's Day, so there was so many tempting foodies to be had, and I admit it- I caved. Some weeks you just can't do it. You are healthy for so long and all you want it the most unhealthy things you can find.

At least i was pretty good on Monday, when the hubs and I went out for sushi. I just love the tuna rolls at Concerto Fusion. The best ever!

The evening before Valentine's Day I baked these lemon sugar cookies for the hubs. There was so many we brought them to work (both of us). Luckily everyone loved them and devoured them, so there were no left over cookies in the house!

On Valentine's Day, the hubs made steak and homemade mac & cheese (something he likes and something I like. lol). He kinda made WAY more mac & cheese then he should have, so I have a feeling we are going to be having leftovers all weekend! lol

I also had the Lean Cuisine bagged tortellini one night, and remembered why I really enjoyed it the last time I got it. Such good flavor!

Other than that, been usual ups and downs of foodies.

Hopefully next week goes better.
Happy Weight loss!

Back on the saddle and losing the pounds

yay! I'm down another 3.2 lbs this week, after restarting my weight loss program. I'm basically taking everything I've learned from Weight Watchers: track my points, count my points, exercise, etc. and tada! Weight loss. (I even had some leftover holiday cookies!)

(No more cookies left in the house- thank heavens!)

I stuck to my 26 points plus (which is what roughly I should be at- I did 27 on some days, since I'm at the point that is between those two numbers) all but one day. Saturday- my day of doom. I would of been perfect if I didn't have buffalo chicken strips and Woodchuck cider, but alas, I was good the rest of the week and it paid off in the end. Best to have your bad day in the middle of the week, so you can work it off later in the week. haha

(I know- bad bad...however I only ate a small portion of the fries and had my husband's carrots too!)

I only got a little bit of exercise, and it was today (walking with co-workers), so it technically didn't count to my weight in this morning, but I'm hoping I can get a little bit more of the walking exercise in this week. We'll see if the weather permits.

I happily had me some Tuna Rolls from Concerto Fusion (down the road from us). Super low points meal!

I enjoyed Indian Food from Indian Garden in Yardley, Pa. on Monday, and luckily ate well the rest of the day so I could enjoy Chicken Makhani. After having the Lean Cuisine version a few weeks ago, I've been craving Indian food ever since.

I've also found that frozen pineapple is a great zero point snack that has kept me saine in my weight loss reboot. I used to eat frozen mangoes like ice cream, so its nice to try another frozen fruit.

Other than that, been sticking to my variety of lean Cuisines, Smart Ones and Healthy Choice meals while at work. The pesto pasta from healthy Choice I tried this week- it was AMAZING! Delicious!

Lastly, my hubs and I have been in LOVE with our new SodaStream. They have a diet energy drink (tastes EXACTLY like Red Bull) and I love their diet Grapefruit (below). The diet soda is good too, sadly the Diet Dr. Pepper-type doesn't taste the best, but one out of all not good, is great for me.

Well, Happy weight loss all!
